In Amerika dan… De prijzen voor een Storm 2 in combinatie met een Amerikaans abonnement zullen we je besparen maar een losse BlackBerry Storm 2 gaat in Amerika 539 dollar kosten. Dat zijn dus ongeveer 325 eurootjes. Even opzoeken wat een ticket New York op dit moment kost…

Lang verwacht, eindelijk aangekondigd: De BlackBerry Storm 2! Als we RIM moeten geloven ligt de Storm 2 vóór de feestdagen in de winkels van Vodafone. Alleen Vodafone? Yep. Vodafone wordt weer de exclusieve aanbieder van het nieuwe Storm familielid. Laten we hopen dat de Storm 2 inderdaad een kerstcadeautje wordt dat ook nog eens eindelijk de confrontatie met de iPhone aankan!

New SurePress Technology
The BlackBerry Storm2 smartphone introduces a new SurePress™ technology based on an electronic system that provides the user with tactile feedback when the touch-screen is pressed. The new system responds equally to gentle pressure applied anywhere on the surface of the screen and makes clicking the display practically effortless. Typing on the smartphone’s virtual keyboards is easier, more comfortable and more accurate. The new SurePress technology also allows the user to type a letter with one thumb even while their other thumb may still be touching or resting on another letter, enabling faster typing and multi-key actions such as Shift or Alt -key combinations.

Storm 2 met nieuwe software
Speciaal voor jullie: een bijna 10 minuten durende video (scherp!) van de BlackBerry Storm 2 mét de nieuwste software. En zoals jullie zien is de reactiesnelheid erg goed te noemen. Hopelijk wordt de Storm 2 snel officieel aangekondigd door RIM.
Training voor BlackBerry Storm 2
De medewerkers van Verizon (Amerikaanse telecomprovider) zijn in training voor de verkoop van de BlackBerry Storm 2. Zie onderstaande video die is uitgelekt. Een beetje blurry maar we moeten het er nog even mee doen. Het kan echter niet lang meer duren tot RIM de Storm 2 officieel bekendmaakt.

Zoals je op deze site kan zien probeert RIM filmpjes van de BlackBerry Storm 2 zo snel mogelijk van YouTube cs. te verwijderen. Maar dat weerhoudt ons er niet van om het te blijven proberen! Hieronder zie je (nu nog) een filmpje van de browser van de Storm 2 die verbonden is via WiFi. Helaas zie je geen volledige websites in het filmpje, dus een goed oordeel over de snelheid is vooralsnog niet te geven. Wat op dit moment echter het belangrijkste is is dat er écht WiFi in de Storm 2 zit. En dat is natuurlijk goed nieuws.
